142G.10 MFIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.

Subdivision 1.MFIP eligibility requirements.

To be eligible for MFIP, applicants must meet the general eligibility requirements in sections 142G.11 to 142G.15, the property limitations in section 256P.02, and the income limitations in sections 142G.16 and 256P.06.

Subd. 2.Verification of information.

An agency must apply section 256P.04 when documenting, verifying, and recertifying MFIP eligibility. An agency must only require verification of information necessary to determine MFIP eligibility and the amount of the assistance payment.

NOTE: A transfer of a power or responsibility in this chapter to the Department of Children, Youth, and Families is effective upon notice of the commissioner of children, youth, and families to the commissioners of administration, management and budget, and other relevant departments along with the secretary of the senate, the chief clerk of the house of representatives, and the chairs and ranking minority members of the relevant legislative committees and divisions.
