     446A.02 Definitions. 

    Subdivision 1.    Applicability.  For the purposes of 
 this chapter, the terms in this section have the meanings given 
 them. 

    Subd. 1a.    Agency.  "Agency" means the Minnesota 
 pollution control agency. 

    Subd. 2.    Authority.  "Authority" means the Minnesota 
 public facilities authority. 

    Subd. 3.    Commissioner.  "Commissioner" means the 
 commissioner of trade and economic development. 

    Subd. 4.    Federal Water Pollution Control Act.  
 "Federal Water Pollution Control Act" means the Federal Water 
 Pollution Control Act, as amended, United States Code, title 33, 
 sections 1251 et seq. 

    Subd. 5.    Governmental unit.  "Governmental unit" 
 means a state agency, home rule charter or statutory city, 
 county, sanitary district, or other governmental subdivision. 

    Subd. 6.    Project.  "Project" means the acquisition, 
 construction, improvement, expansion, repair, or rehabilitation 
 of all or part of any structure, facility, or equipment 
 necessary for a wastewater treatment system or water supply 
 system.
