487.24 Forcible entry and unlawful detainer actions.
Subdivision 1. Return days. Return days for forcible entry and unlawful detainer actions may be fixed by rule promulgated by the court.
Subd. 2. Procedure; forms. Sections 504B.281 to 504B.371 apply to the county court. The forms therein prescribed, with appropriate modifications, may be used.
Subd. 3. Default judgments. Whenever a duly verified complaint in an action of forcible entry or unlawful detainer shows one of the causes of action set forth in section 504B.285, and on the return day of the summons the defendant does not appear, the judge of the county court, upon proof of the due service of the summons, may find the defendant in default and file an order for judgment accordingly.
