     326.97 License renewal. 

    Subdivision 1.    Renewal.  Licensees whose applications 
 have been properly and timely filed and who have not received 
 notice of denial of renewal are considered to have been approved 
 for renewal and may continue to transact business whether or not 
 the renewed license has been received.  Applications are timely 
 if received or postmarked by March 1 of the renewal year.  
 Applications must be made on a form approved by the commissioner.

    Subd. 1a.    Annual renewal.  Any license issued or 
 renewed after August 1, 1993, must be renewed annually. 

    Subd. 2.    Failure to apply.  A person who has failed 
 to make a timely application for renewal of a license by March 
 31 of the renewal year is unlicensed until the license has been 
 issued by the commissioner and is received by the applicant.
