No person, other than those individuals exempt in Minnesota Statutes, sections 148B.32, subdivision 2, and 148B.38, shall engage in marriage and family therapy practice, advertise the performance of such services, or use a title or description denoting marriage and family therapist without obtaining a license issued under Minnesota Statutes, sections 148B.29 to 148B.39, and parts 5300.0100 to 5300.0360.
An individual engages in marriage and family therapy practice if the individual performs or offers to perform marriage and family therapy or if the individual is held out as able to perform such a service.
