The patient shall have a chest film on admission and discharge. The chest film shall be repeated as often as necessary while the patient is hospitalized. Patients receiving pneumotherapy shall have adequate fluoroscopic examinations.
Admission laboratory studies shall include culture for the isolation and identification of the causative organism. Cultures and other laboratory investigations shall be repeated as often as the patient's condition indicates.
Determinations of the patient's temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight shall be made on admission and repeated as often as required for adequate supervision thereafter.
