Any person with any form of tuberculosis or suspected tuberculosis shall be accepted for study, care, and treatment. Preference in admission shall be given to patients whose clinical condition constitutes a tuberculosis emergency. When indicated, patients shall be transferred to other institutions for special investigation, treatment, or surgery.
Each patient shall be seen by a physician within 24 hours after admission and each patient shall be instructed in the practice of proper hygiene as soon as possible after admission.
All leaves of absence by patients shall be approved by the attending physician.
