This Code establishes definitions; sets standards for management and personnel, food operations, and equipment and facilities; and provides for food establishment plan review, license issuance, inspection, employee restriction, and license suspension.
This Code applies to food establishments licensed and inspected by the Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, or delegated regulatory authorities that conduct licensing and inspections of food establishments.
This Code also applies to individuals applying for certification and certification renewal as a food protection manager, persons providing training for applicants for food protection manager certification, and for certified food protection managers, persons developing and publishing food protection manager certification examinations, and persons proctoring food protection manager certification examinations.
