2945.2540 BEDDING, LAUNDRY, AND CLOTHING REMOVAL.

Subpart 1.

Bedding.

Upon request, or after eight hours, each prisoner shall be issued clean, sanitary, and fire-retardant bedding (not applicable to Class IV municipal facilities).

Subp. 2.

Laundry (mandatory).

Sheets must be laundered and blankets cleaned before reissuing them to another prisoner.

Subp. 3.

Removing clothing and bedding.

The facility administrator shall develop a policy and procedure for dealing with incidents in which prisoners misuse clothing or bedding. Clothing and bedding should be removed from a prisoner only when the prisoner's behavior threatens the health, safety, or security of self, others, or property. Clothing and bedding must be returned to the prisoner as soon as it is reasonable to believe that the behavior that caused the action will not continue.
