Only the following methods as prescribed by the Association of Official Analytical Chemists shall be used in the testing of whole milk for protein content pursuant to parts 1525.2410 to 1525.2490:
pro milk method for determination of protein in milk, amido black 10B, Journal of the Official Methods of Analysis of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (Vol. 58, No. 4), 1975;
any other method of equal or greater accuracy approved by the Association of Official Analytical Chemists and approved by the commissioner.
