relating to natural resources; providing procedures for filling the Watonwan County Soil and Water Conservation District Board supervisor vacant positions.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 103C.305, subdivision 6, the vacancies in the office of elected supervisor for the Watonwan County Soil and Water Conservation District may be filled by appointment made by the Watonwan County Board. The appointees may hold office until the first Monday in January following the 2008 general election. Successors shall be elected at the 2008 general election and hold office for the remainder of the term or for the next regular term, whichever is appropriate. new text end
