CHAPTER 87-S.F.No. 445 An act relating to the environment; requiring the pollution control agency to permit the operation of certain waste combustors. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. [WAIVER.] The pollution control agency must, until 2005, allow the operation of a gas-fired waste combustor installed after January 1, 1992, and before June 20, 1994, used to burn blood-contaminated, waxed cardboard, and meat-contaminated cellulose from meat processing operations in amounts that do not exceed 500 pounds per hour and provided the combustor is monitored by an automatic temperature control device and meets emission standards in effect at the time it was installed. Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] Section 1 is effective on the day following final enactment. Presented to the governor April 21, 1995 Signed by the governor April 24, 1995, 1:32 p.m.
