Laws of Minnesota 1989 CHAPTER 107-H.F.No. 1416 An act relating to state lands; authorizing private conveyance of certain tax-forfeited land in Benton county. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. [PRIVATE CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; BENTON COUNTY.] (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Benton county, on behalf of the state, shall convey the tax-forfeited land described in paragraph (c). (b) The land described in paragraph (c) must be conveyed without consideration to Mary Lou Layman of 8241 5th Avenue South, Bloomington, Minnesota. The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. (c) The land to be conveyed is located in the town of Langola in Benton county and is described as: One Square Acre in the Northwest corner of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 38 North, Range 31 West. (d) The property was erroneously forfeited even though the owner did pay the delinquent taxes and subsequent real estate taxes. Sec. 2.
