Laws of Minnesota 1988 CHAPTER 466-H.F.No. 2490 An act relating to state land; conveying title to state land in Kittson county. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. [CONVEYANCE OF TITLE TO LAND IN KITTSON COUNTY.] Notwithstanding any other law, the commissioner of natural resources shall transfer the interests of the state in the land described in this section by July 1, 1988, to Donald and Hjordis Rice of Spring Brook township in Kittson county. The conveyance shall be by quit claim deed without consideration in a form approved by the attorney general. The land to be conveyed is located in Spring Brook township in Kittson county described as: the North half of the Southeast quarter, Section 11, Township 159, Range 47. The land to be conveyed was transferred to the state in 1937 to satisfy a 1924 mortgage to the state under the Rural Credit Act of 1923. The Kittson county tax records show that the property reverted to the original owners and satisfaction was given to the owners by the state, however, the title was not recorded. Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment. Approved April 6, 1988
