Laws of Minnesota 1986 CHAPTER 319-H.F.No. 2265 An act relating to juvenile justice; providing for membership terms, removal, and filling of vacancies on the juvenile justice advisory committee; amending Minnesota Statutes 1984, section 116J.404. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 1984, section 116J.404, is amended to read: 116J.404 [JUVENILE JUSTICE.] The governor shall designate the department of energy and economic development as the sole agency responsible for supervising the preparation and administration of the state plan for juvenile justice required by the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended. The governor shall designate the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee as the supervisory board for the department of energy and economic development with respect to preparation and administration of the state plan and award of grants. The governor shall appoint members to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee in accordance with the membership requirements of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended. Membership terms, compensation, removal, and filling of vacancies are governed by section 15.0575, except that the appointments are not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
