Laws of Minnesota 1985 CHAPTER 86-H.F.No. 428 An act relating to the city of Eden Prairie; authorizing one annual one-day liquor license. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. [EDEN PRAIRIE ONE-DAY LIQUOR LICENSE.] The governing body of the city of Eden Prairie may issue to the Eden Prairie Foundation, a nonprofit organization, a temporary license for the on-sale of intoxicating liquor in connection with one social event in any calendar year within the city, sponsored by the foundation. The license may authorize the on-sale of intoxicating liquor for not more than one day, and may authorize on-sales on premises other than premises the foundation owns or permanently occupies. The license may provide that the foundation may contract for intoxicating liquor catering services with the holder of an on-sale intoxicating liquor license issued by the city. Licenses are subject to the terms, including a license fee, imposed by the city. Licenses issued under this section are subject to all laws and ordinances governing the sale of intoxicating liquor except Minnesota Statutes, section 340.11, subdivision 21, and those laws and ordinances which by their nature are not applicable. Licenses under this section are not valid unless first approved by the commissioner of public safety. Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This act is effective upon approval by the Eden Prairie city council and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021. Approved May 8, 1985
