Laws of Minnesota 1985 CHAPTER 61-H.F.No. 230 An act relating to state lands; authorizing the sale of certain surplus state land in Dakota county to the city of Hastings. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. [SALE OF CERTAIN DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS LAND.] Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 94.09 to 94.16, or any other law to the contrary, the commissioner of administration may sell certain property to the city of Hastings in accordance with this section before January 1, 1986. The property referred to in this section must be sold for a consideration of the commissioner of administration's appraised value, plus the cost of survey and appraisal. The commissioner shall have the property surveyed and appraised, in the manner provided in Minnesota Statutes, section 94.10, to determine its value and exact legal description. The conveyance must be by quitclaim deed in a form approved by the attorney general. The property is approximately 67.8 acres of land located in the northeast quarter of section 34, and the northwest quarter of section 35, township 115, range 17, in Dakota county. The property was surplus farm land at the Minnesota veterans home in Hastings. The city of Hastings has immediate industrial use for the land. Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment. Approved May 6, 1985
