Laws of Minnesota 1984 CHAPTER 550-S.F.No. 1589 An act relating to natural resources; authorizing hunters and trappers to wear blaze orange camouflage; amending Minnesota Statutes 1983 Supplement, section 100.29, subdivision 8. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 1983 Supplement, section 100.29, subdivision 8, is amended to read: Subd. 8. It shall be unlawful to hunt or trap, or assist therein, in any zone open for the taking of deer with the use of firearms, during such open season, unless the visible portion of the hunter's or trapper's cap and outer garments, above the waist excluding sleeves if any and excluding gloves, shall be bright red or blaze orange or covered therewith. Blaze orange includes a camouflage pattern of at least 50 percent blaze orange within each foot square. Approved April 25, 1984
