Laws of Minnesota 1983 CHAPTER 120--S.F.No. 1198 An act relating to state government; providing for deficiencies in appropriations for the expenses of state government with certain conditions; appropriating money. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. [DEFICIENCY APPROPRIATIONS.] Subdivision 1. [DEFICIENCY APPROPRIATIONS.] The sums set forth in the column designated "APPROPRIATIONS" are appropriated from the general fund, or any other fund designated, to the agencies and for the purposes specified in the following subdivisions of this section, to be available for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1983. SUMMARY BY FUND General $72,835,200 Game and Fish 1,143,800 Special Compensation 534,900 TOTAL $74,513,900 APPROPRIATIONS Subd. 2. [STATE DEPARTMENTS.] (a) Legislative Coordinating Commission $ 3,500 This appropriation is for unemployment compensation costs attributable to the termination of the Legislative Committee on Science and Technology and the Tax Study Commission. (b) Natural Resources 3,002,800 The amounts that may be expended from this appropriation for each purpose are as follows: (1) Workers Compensation $523,300 $175,000 is from the general fund. $348,300 is from the game and fish fund. (2) Unemployment Compensation $2,479,500 $1,684,000 is from the general fund. $795,500 is from the game and fish fund. (c) Labor and Industry 2,713,600 $2,178,700 is from the general fund for reimbursement of the special compensation fund under Minnesota Statutes, section 176.183, subdivision 2, and is added to the appropriation in Laws 1981, chapter 356, section 32.$534,900 is from the special compensation fund for administrative expenses and is added to the appropriation in Laws 1981, chapter 356, section 32. Subd. 3. [EDUCATION.] University of Minnesota 950,000 This appropriation is for the state's share of expenses for county indigent patients and is added to the appropriation in Laws 1981, chapter 359, section 10, subdivision 2. Subd. 4. [WELFARE, CORRECTIONS, HEALTH.] Public Welfare 67,844,000 This appropriation is added to the appropriation in Laws 1981, chapter 360, article I, section 2, subdivision 4, for income maintenance. Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This act is effective the day following final enactment. Approved May 10, 1983
