                          CHAPTER 1--H.F.No. 14
           An act relating to the legislature; delaying 
          submission of the budget to the legislature to 
          February 15, 1983.  
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  [GOVERNOR'S BUDGET MESSAGE DEFERRED.] 
    Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes 1982, section 16A.11, or 
other provision of law to the contrary, in 1983 the budget must 
be submitted to the legislature not later than February 15, 1983.
    Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
     Section 1 is repealed effective February 16, 1983.  
     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day after final 
enactment.
