A bill for an act
relating to workforce development; appropriating money for a grant to the Center
for African Immigrants and Refugees Organization.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; CENTER FOR AFRICAN IMMIGRANTS AND
REFUGEES ORGANIZATION.

new text begin $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the workforce development fund to
the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the Center for
African Immigrants and Refugees Organization to provide workforce training by enhancing
their youth programs that help students gain work experience, earn experience in
high-demand fields, and transition into family-sustaining careers. This appropriation is
onetime.
