A bill for an act
relating to human services; authorizing supplemental rental assistance for
individuals experiencing long-term homelessness; amending Minnesota Statutes
2016, section 256I.05, subdivision 1g.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 256I.05, subdivision 1g, is amended to read:
Subd. 1g.
Supplementary service rate for certain facilities.
An agency may negotiate
a supplementary service rate for recipients of assistance under section 256I.04, subdivision
1, paragraph (a) or (b), who have experienced long-term homelessness and who live in a
supportive housing establishment under section 256I.04, subdivision 2a, paragraph (b),
clause (2).new text begin An agency may provide supplemental rental assistance of up to $50 per month
to ensure housing stability for recipients eligible for assistance under this subdivision.
