  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; imposing a moratorium on 
  1.3             permits for certain genetically engineered seeds; 
  1.4             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.5             chapter 18F. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [18F.08] [MORATORIUM ON PERMITS.] 
  1.8      The commissioner may not issue a permit between April 15, 
  1.9   2001, and April 15, 2006, for the first release in Minnesota of 
  1.10  any genetically engineered seed.
