relating to jobs; awarding grants for a summer youth employment program;
appropriating money to the city of Minneapolis.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Minneapolis to fund
summer youth employment in Minneapolis. The grant shall be used to fund up to 500
jobs for youth each summer. Of this appropriation, $....... each year is for a grant to the
learn-to-earn summer youth employment program. This appropriation is available until
spent.
