A bill for an act
relating to public safety; permitting terminally ill persons to possess small
amounts of marijuana without criminal penalty; proposing coding for new law in
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 152.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.

[152.25] EXEMPTION FROM PROSECUTION; TERMINAL
ILLNESS.

Any person who has been diagnosed by a licensed doctor of medicine as being
terminally ill is not subject to prosecution under this chapter for possession of a small
amount of marijuana.
