A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; prohibiting civil actions to obtain access to private
roads in Clearwater County; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 84.0272,
by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 84.0272, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin The commissioner must obtain written
permission from the landowner to use a private road to access land administered by the
commissioner in Clearwater County. The commissioner must not initiate a civil action to
gain access to a private road.
