relating to human services; appropriating money for food shelf programs to
purchase diapers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

$260,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for food shelf programs under Minnesota Statutes, section 256E.34, to
purchase diapers. Hunger Solutions must establish an application process for food shelves
and determine the allocation of money to food shelves to purchase diapers. The
unencumbered balance in the first year does not cancel but is available for the second year.
This appropriation is in addition to any other appropriation for food shelf programs under
Minnesota Statutes, section 256E.34, and is added to the base.
