A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money for a grant to create a youth and
family center in the city of St. Cloud.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ST. CLOUD YOUTH AND FAMILY CENTER.

new text begin $5,500,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for a grant to the Islamic Center of St. Cloud to renovate and develop a
property in St. Cloud to become the St. Cloud Youth and Family Center. The center shall
be a site open to all members of the community for youth and adult education supports,
access to workforce and employment services, and additional community-building
opportunities around entrepreneurship and health and wellness. This is a onetime
appropriation and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to
Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
