relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for Chinese garden.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA CHINA FRIENDSHIP GARDEN
SOCIETY.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the arts and cultural heritage fund
to the commissioner of administration for a grant to the Minnesota China Friendship Garden
Society to develop the Chinese garden in Phalen Park in St. Paul to promote a better
understanding of China and China's rich cultural heritage and contributions to the state of
Minnesota.
