BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; COMBATING TERRORISM RECRUITMENT.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of public safety to award grants to local law enforcement agencies to develop strategies and
make efforts to combat the recruitment of Minnesota residents by terrorist organizations
such as ISIS and al-Shabaab.
