relating to human services; appropriating money for the Office of Ombudsman
for Long-Term Care.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; OFFICE OF OMBUDSMAN FOR LONG-TERM
CARE.

new text begin (a) $....... in fiscal year 2020 and $....... in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of human services for 25 additional regional ombudsmen
in the Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care, to perform the duties in Minnesota
Statutes, section 256.9742.

new text begin (b) $....... in fiscal year 2020 and $....... in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of human services for six additional staff in the Office of
Ombudsman for Long-Term Care to perform at least the following functions: supervision,
policy activities, consumer intake, and data management.
