Modifying certain provisions regulating electricians; defining or redefining
certain terms; changing references to alarm and communication systems to power
limited circuits or systems and eliminating the word electrical from the term
electrical contractor; requiring and providing for the licensing of class A
master and journeyman power limited technicians by the board of electricity,
specifying applicant eligibility and examination requirements and fees;
exempting heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration
contractors and employees and cable communications company employees from
electrician licensing requirements; exempting the installation, alteration or
repair of electrical appliance units from regulation, defining electrical
