language (ASL) English interpreters and oral or oral and cued speech
transliterators employed by school districts, requiring comparable state
certification for interpreters and transliterators to be based on an existing
quality assurance screening test to be adopted by the commissioner of children,
families and learning, requiring a commissioner report to the legislature on the
test by a certain date, specifying certain report content and test selection
consultation requirements; eliminating certain transitional certification
