Appropriating money to the commissioner of health for the cancer control section
to develop and implement a statewide public awareness media campaign to promote
breast and cervical cancer screening, to provide free or low cost colposcopy
services to low income uninsured and underinsured women with abnormal Pap tests,
to assess and monitor cancer screening rates, the need for screening tests and
the availability of high quality screening, diagnosis and treatment for specific
cancers and to ensure adequate response to emerging cancer control issues,
classifying data on individuals obtained under the assessment and monitoring
requirements (ra)
