1E Requiring the commissioner of human services to enter into an agreement for
state participation in the Illinois prescription drug reimportation program
(I-Save Rx) to enable residents to obtain safe and affordable prescription drugs
from other countries, specifying certain agreement and program benefit
requirements; authorizing the commissioner to act jointly with other member
states to establish safety standards; providing for operation of the program,
requiring the commissioner to maintain a separate web site providing a link to
the program; requiring the state to participate in the joint work group,
requirements; providing for monitoring of the program; specifying certain
commissioner network pharmacy violation management and inspection and certain
marketing, media relations and outreach responsibilities; providing for an
approved drug list; authorizing withdrawal from and termination of the
agreement; exempting the state from liability from injury or damage from
products obtained through the program; requiring commissioner establishment of a
state working group for program implementation purposes, specifying certain
working group membership requirements
