Modifying certain provisions regulating audiologists as hearing instrument
dispensers; clarifying the definition of audiologist; temporarily adding a
surcharge to the audiologist licensure fee; regulating the dispensing of hearing
instruments by audiologists, eliminating the certification and continuing
education requirements and specifying certain contract content and consumer
rights information requirements and the liability of hearing instrument
dispensers or audiologists for satisfying the terms of contracts; specifying
certain restrictions on the sale of hearing aids, requiring a guarantee and a
buyers right to cancel; requiring itemized repair bills and repair warranties
and written estimates on request; imposing penalties and remedies for violation;
specifying certain reference change instructions to the revisor of statutes
