Relating to firearms; requiring manufacturers shipping or transporting pistols
for sale, rental or transfer in the state to include with the pistols in
separate sealed containers shell casings of projectiles discharge from the
pistols and additional information identifying the type of pistol and shell
casing as required by the commissioner of public safety; requiring dealer
confirmation of manufacturer compliance and forwarding of the container upon
sale or transfer of the pistol to the bureau of criminal apprehension; requiring
the BCA crime laboratory upon receipt of the shell casing and required
information to enter the information in pertinent databases; requiring
commissioner rules; appropriating money to the commissioner to develop and
operate a firearm ballistics identification system(mk)
