insurance coverages, crop insurance adjusters, and real estate appraisers;
defining classroom, distance learning, and self-study courses; qualifying
certain approved professional designation coursework for insurance producers;
specifying certain self-course study verification requirements; expanding use of
facilities; modifying limitations on combination policies; modifying certain
provisions regarding insurance from unlicensed foreign companies; defining and
modifying certain definitions of terms concerning the "Minnesota Surplus Lines
Insurance Act"; authorizing that the term "surplus lines insurance" be referred
to as nonadmitted insurance and the term licensee be replaced with broker in
certain situations; modifying the application process for exempt commercial
purchasers; modifying certain requirements for the authorization of a foreign
insurer to be a surplus lines insurer; modifying certain provisions relating to
health plan subrogation clause regulations, Medicare select policies and
certificates, comprehensive health insurance enrollment by eligible persons for
preexisting conditions, health care company disclosure of estimated payment and
small employer insurance availability of coverage; modifying the cancellations
and nonrenewal policies of certain insurers selling life and health insurance;
regulating certain crop adjuster licensing requirements and authority; modifying
certain workers compensation self-insurers provisions relating to private
employers ceasing to be self-insured, purchase of insurance policy from an
authorized insurer, and insolvency of a commercial self-insurance group insurer;
specifying licensing requirements for real estate closing agents; modifying
certain real estate appraisers licensing, prelicense education, and experience
