E Expanding the availability and quality of long term care + insurance;
expanding the definition of qualifying event for life insurance +accelerated
benefits payment purposes to a long term illness or physical +condition
resulting in cognitive impairment or the inability to perform the +activities of
daily life or duties of an occupation; increasing the at home +recovery visit
reimbursement limits under extended basic medicare supplement plans +and
eliminating care provided by family members from coverage exclusions;
authorizing the commissioner of commerce upon request to issue orders+ to modify
or suspend specific provisions of long term care insurance policies +or
certificates under certain findings conditions; prohibiting long +term care
insurance policies providing benefits for home health or community +care
services from limiting or excluding certain benefits (mk, ja)
