E Removing the restriction on the authority of licensed and board + certified
optometrists to prescribe legend drugs to topical legend drugs; +requiring the
use of legend drugs by optometrists as included in the curricula of +accredited
schools or colleges of optometry, restricting the administration of +legend
drugs by injection, prohibiting invasive surgery, the administration +or
prescription of schedule II and III oral legend drugs and oral +steroids and
restricting the prescription or administration of oral antivirals or +oral
carbonic anhydrase inhibitors; expanding reporting requirements of +health
professionals to adverse reactions resulting from optometrist +prescription or
administration of all legend drugs; holding optometrists using legend+ drugs to
the same standards as physicians (je, ja)
