"Education in Care and Treatment Settings Act"; defining certain
terms;
providing for education in care and treatment centers; specifying a
process of
placing a child in a care and treatment program; establishing a
flexible school calendar; establishing an education services fund to pay the
costs of educating children placed in a care and treatment program for a certain
amount of time; requiring a district enrolling a homeless child to provide
transportation for the child, specifying exceptions; specifying transportation
aid eligibility for school districts and charter schools required to provide
transportation services to a child in a care and treatment program; establishing
pupil unit for a pupil in a day treatment program; defining mental health day
treatment program; allowing care and treatment program pupils participation in
the graduation incentives program, nonresident transportation, and
transportation aid; modifying the commissioner of education approval of
education programs requirement; appropriating money to the commissioner of
education; repealing special instructions for nonresident children, placement in
another district responsibility, placement of students approval of education
program, and residential treatment facilities departments of human services and
corrections education screening
