Relating to education; modifying certain profile of learning requirements, requiring implementation of certain core areas, limiting the number of required content standards and authorizing implementation of additional learning areas; modifying the implementation schedule; eliminating the performance package completion requirement; modifying certain statewide testing requirements for secondary students and delaying implementation, providing for comparisons with performance in other states and countries; requiring the commissioner of children, families and learning to convene a temporary advisory group to make recommendations on appropriate strategies to address the educational needs of students failing to meet high school graduation rule or local graduation requirements, specifying membership representation and commissioner reporting requirements (rla)
